“The Banquet” is an immersive culinary performance for seven performers and seven guests, in which what is real and true and its artificial counterpoint merge and blur. In mysterious games and collective improvisation, the sense of sensuality is explored and immoderate forms of the ritual of a shared dinner are played with.
The piece was created and premiered in 2019 at Performact, Torres Vedras, Portugal and was shown at La Biennale Clandestine at Théâtre Ineffables/anoesis in Lyon, France, 2020
